Hey. I've spent the last couple of days learning Drupal, the CMS (content management system) recommended by my friend Van in the Bay Area Orienteering Club. There's a lot to learn: CSS, PHP, and all the features of Drupal. I think it will be worth it, though. In the end all our sites will be maintainable by multiple people from their web browsers – no need for ftp. And all our participants and customers will be able to post their own event reports, comments, and questions. It will be great to not have to format and post people's event reports and will save me time and energy all year.
